A Night of Elegance and Purpose: The 41st Annual UNCF Atlanta Mayor’s Masked Ball

The 41st Annual UNCF Atlanta Mayor’s Masked Ball, held on December 21, 2024, at the Signia Hotel by Hilton, was a dazzling affair blending philanthropy with sophistication. This signature event brought together some of the most influential leaders, celebrities, and changemakers in support of higher education for African American students.

Atlanta’s Legacy of Leadership Hosted by Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and UNCF President and CEO Dr. Michael L. Lomax, the event celebrated Atlanta’s rich legacy of leadership. Former Atlanta mayors, including Keisha Lance Bottoms, and Shirley Franklin, joined the evening, showcasing their continued dedication to the city and its educational initiatives.

An Award-Winning Evening Actor and comedian Anthony Anderson served as the charismatic Master of Ceremonies, bringing his signature humor to the evening. The prestigious Masked Award was presented to Nicole "Nikki" Clifton, President of Social Impact and The UPS Foundation, honoring her groundbreaking work in social equity and community impact.

An Unforgettable Performance Musical legend Charlie Wilson delivered a breathtaking performance, inspiring and energizing attendees. His soulful music perfectly complemented the evening’s atmosphere of celebration and unity.

A Legacy of Giving The Atlanta Mayor’s Masked Ball has been pivotal in UNCF’s fundraising efforts. Over the last four years, the organization has raised more than $1 billion to support African American students in achieving their academic dreams. The funds raised during this year’s event will provide scholarships and resources to ensure that more students can access quality education.

The 41st Annual UNCF Atlanta Mayor’s Masked Ball was not just a sold-out celebration of past achievements—it was a rallying cry for continued investment in the future of young African American scholars.
