Dr. Ciara L. Anderson

Dr. Ciara L. Anderson, a renowned author of self-help books, certified life coach for youth and families, and 20+ year mental and behavioral health professional, has officially announced her candidacy for Fulton County Commissioner District 6.

A proud product of District 6, Ciara has dedicated her life to serving her community. Raised by a single mother who was a senior citizen and her next-door neighbor, Ciara overcame a tumultuous childhood and began working with the Fulton County Department of Family Children Services at just 19 years old. Drawing from her own experiences within the system, Ciara has spent the last 15 years advocating for youth and families in need.

In addition to her work with the county, Ciara co-founded the non-profit organization "It Still Takes a Village" with rapper Young Dro. This organization focuses on combating gun violence, substance abuse, and homelessness on a global scale.

While Ciara may not have a political background, she brings an extensive community background to the table. Her experience as a youth advocate and her passion for serving others make her a strong candidate for the role of commissioner.

With a platform focused on community empowerment, Ciara aims to continue her work of making a positive impact in District 6 and beyond. By becoming commissioner, she believes she can further amplify her efforts to create a safer and more prosperous community for all residents.
