Atlanta, GA – December 10, 2024 – This holiday season, Atlanta families were gifted more than just laptops and beds—they received hope, support, and a sense of community thanks to the visionary efforts of the Food In The City Foundation and its star-studded partners. In a powerful collaboration with Smoot Films, Compudopt, Ashley Furniture, Amazon, Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks, Gocha’s Breakfast Bar, Pepsi, and AT&T, the foundation delivered essential resources to families and students in need, creating an unforgettable day filled with joy and purpose.

A Mission Rooted in Giving

The annual Community Connections: A Holiday Gift Giveaway event united Atlanta’s corporate giants, local businesses, and cultural icons to address urgent needs for families lacking access to basic necessities. By bridging the digital divide and improving home living conditions, the initiative empowered underserved families and reaffirmed the city’s commitment to uplifting its community.

This year’s event was nothing short of remarkable. Over 500 laptops and hotspots were distributed to students and families, ensuring they could thrive in an increasingly digital world. Thanks to donations from AT&T and Compudopt, families not only received the devices but also technical support and warranties, setting them up for long-term success. On the home front, Ashley Furniture donated comfortable new beds, providing a foundation for restful nights in the holiday season and beyond.
