A key feature of the event was the introduction of a new tech lab created through Redd’s collaboration with College Park Councilwoman Jamelle McKenzie from One Ward 1. Instead of distributing individual computers, Redd and McKenzie funded the purchase of laptops and cameras to equip a dedicated space where students can come to learn and utilize advanced technology. This tech lab aims to provide essential resources and foster skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.).The tech lab represents a significant investment in the educational development of local students. By offering access to high-quality equipment and a dedicated learning environment, Redd and McKenzie are helping bridge the technological gap and provide valuable tools for students to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
