If you’re a seafood lover in the Atlanta area, it’s time to drop everything and head over to the grand opening of Seafood Social East in Decatur, GA. Trust me — this spot is about to take the city by storm. I had the pleasure of trying their menu, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of amazing.
Let’s start with the 3 The Hard Way — salmon perfectly seasoned and grilled, stuffed with a rich and flavorful combination of lump crab and shrimp. Every bite was a perfect balance of tender fish and succulent seafood. If you’re a fan of seafood done right, this dish alone is worth the visit.
But it didn’t stop there. I also had their Spinach and Artichoke Spinach Dip, and whew! It was creamy, cheesy, and packed with generous chunks of crab and shrimp. Served with soft, golden-brown tortilla chips that are made in-house, it’s the perfect appetizer to kick off your meal. You’ll find yourself scraping the bowl — it’s that good.
For the main course, I went all in with their Oxtails paired with rice & vegetables. Tender, fall-off-the-bone oxtails drenched in a savory, seasoned gravy — paired with perfectly cooked rice and fresh, seasoned vegetables. This dish felt like a warm hug on a plate however, I honestly wished there was more oxtail meat.
And you know I couldn’t leave without trying out their Full Bar! The Strawberry Lemon Drop was the perfect balance of sweet and tart, with a smooth finish that paired beautifully with the bold flavors of my meal. If you like alcohol that doesn’t taste much like alcohol, it’s a must-try and the perfect way to toast the grand opening.
