Video City TV : NYFW

Updated: Jul 10

This past February, In The City Magazine attended Video City's first fashion week presentation.

With the hustle and bustle that New York City embodies on any regular day - Fashion Week itself can be re-labeled "Hell Week" with last minute castings, fittings, changes to itineraries and more.

This production team put forward garments that were worth all the effort. The line up featured not only designers native to NYC, but international designers as well.

Putting together a show in a span of weeks is not an easy task!

I had the pleasure of interviewing the designers briefly after their collections showed. There was a mix of couture, high fashion street wear, and resort wear; many of these designers showed in other NYFW shows to further promote their brands.

Baro Sanchez opened the show with a gorgeous collection inspired by Phantom of the Opera.

Omdaya Atelier presented her Miami collection in collaboration with Baro Sanchez featuring vibrant designs.

The Dippin Doenutz's collection gave 4/20 a fashion spotlight before their sister brand

SM Leathers took over with a floor of exclusive custom leather jackets.

Theater was definitely an inspiration this season as Porcelain Playhouse showcased her new collection "Wicked".

We closed out the show with Haute Lineage specializing in evening gowns and prom dresses.

Special recognition to the sponsors for the show : Power Squad Campaign for production, T Mc Donald Cosmetics for the lip line worn by the models, Jordan Edwards for interview footage & Ninty 4 Shots for media coverage, and Video City TV & 7 Crowns for the venue and media outlet.
